The Družba oil pipe has been in operation since 1965. It mostly transports oil from Russia to refineries in Litvínov and Pardubice. Booster pump station in a small town of Klobouky, Moravia is the first and the most important pump station in the Czech Republic, since its pumps are able to triple the pressure inside the pipes and are pushing the oil further with a velocity of 1.4 meter per second.
