The Družba oil pipe has been in operation since 1965. It mostly transports oil from Russia to refineries in Litvínov and Pardubice. Booster pump station in a small town of Klobouky, Moravia is the first and the most important pump station in the Czech Republic, since its pumps are able to triple the pressure inside the pipes and are pushing the oil further with a velocity of 1.4 meter per second.
The Klobouky booster pump station is situated in a hilly countryside typical for the southern Moravia region. The majority owner of the facility is the Čepro state company and oil product distributor.

Hodonín - A few hundreds of kilometers from the Hodonín region in southern Moravia and under the Morava River. That's where the "Družba" oil pipeline, installed more than 40 years ago, is entering the Czech Republic. After it passes through the river, it goes above the ground for several hundreds of meters, since it was not possible to bury it under the wetland ground. In fact, it is the only place in the Czech Republic where Družba can be actually seen - the rest of it is hidden underground. The total oil consumption in the Czech Republic is roughly 7.5 million ton, with five million ton coming through Družba.
